10 pack of EWTh-2, 2% Thoriated (Red) Tungsten Electrodes for TIG Welding. Normally use for welding copper alloys, nickel alloys, titanium alloys, and stainless steel. All size of 6" (150mm) or 7" (175mm) in length and 0.04" (1.0mm), 1/16" (1.6mm), 3/32" (2.4mm) 1/8" (3.2mm) 5/32" (4.0mm) in Diameter. The thoria is responsible for increasing the usable life of these electrodes over the EWP electrodes because of higher electron emission, better arc starting and arc stability. The higher thoria content in the EWTh-2 electrode causes the operating characteristic improvements to be more pronounced than in the lower thoria content EWTh-1. Generally have longer life and provide greater resistance to tungsten contamination of the weld.
